The breathtaking South West Coast Path is easily accessible from all of our Holiday properties, and there are countless footpaths and bridleways to explore on your doorstep. With scenery ranging from beautiful coastline to ancient forests and rolling hills, there is so much to explore.

A personal favourite of ours is to walk from Bude all the way to Sandymouth then back along the coastal path - this can only be done at very low tide, so check your tide times before setting off.

Enjoy a walk beside the North Tamar while you explore the history of Bude Canal, originally opened in the 1820's. This pleasant walk features cliff paths, inland fields and the quiet and peaceful Bude canal.

Also of historical interest is Stratton Battlefield. Taking approximately two hours, this fascinating walking route explores the site of an Iron Age Fort. It was the setting for the Civil War battle of Stamford Hill which took place in 1643 between the Royalist Army and Parliamentarian Troops. The Battle of Stratton is re-enacted by members of the Sealed Knot Society each year.
